What is the GED Test Like?
Is It Hard to Pass the GED?
It depends on how long you stayed in school, how well you can read and do math, your ability to think critically, and how much you study for the test.
To pass the GED, you need to be able to read and understand some basic things, such as a newspaper or a job application. You also have to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without using a calculator.
Do I need to know everything I learned in high school?
No. The GED tests how well you think about different issues based on your life experiences. So even if you have been out of school for a long time, you can pass this test if you study for it.
Suppose I Don't Pass the First Time?
You can take the test again. But, many states will make you wait several months before you can take the test again. And some states make you take a course to prepare for the GED if you didn't pass the test the first time. You may also have to pay to take the test again.
How Long Does the GED Test Take?
The GED is a long test. It lasts 7 hours and 35 minutes. In some states, you must take the entire test at one time. Other states will let you to take parts of the test each time you come to the testing center.
What Subjects Are on the GED Test?
Writing: This test covers sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. This part of the test has 55 multiple-choice questions and also asks you to write a 200-word story.
Math: This test covers decimals, fractions, percentages, and basic math problems. There are 56 multiple-choice problems.
Social Studies: This test covers geography, history and related topics. You will be asked information about maps and charts. There are 66 multiple-choice questions in this section.
Science: This test covers biology, chemistry, earth sciences and physical sciences. There are 66 multiple-choice questions in this section.
Literature And The Arts: This test will tests how well you can read and understand stories and poems. There are 45 multiple-choice questions.

If you passed any portion of the GED (prior to 2002) and did not complete the entire battery of tests, you must repeat those subjects. The test was reformatted in January 2002. This will take place again in January 2012. If you have recently taken one or two tests and received passing scores, you will need to complete all five tests by December 2011.

I think the test can be something. But you your self have to make it something. If you did something when you was in school you should know what to do when you take the real test.
i have passsed the writing part of my ged back in 1997 do i have to take it again? i just want a better job and i havea learning disablie and was in special classses so how will that affect me taking my ged
