If you have a computer, an Internet connection and time, you may consider working as an eBay seller.  There are some people that make a very good amount of money by buying and selling merchandise on the website eBay.

What You Will Need To Get Started
  • You do not need a special license or certification to sell items on eBay.
  • You have to be willing to spend a lot of time looking for items to sell in person and online. Flea markets, swap meets and discount stores are good places to look for good prices on items you think you can sell for a profit. There is no “magic” item. You’re going to have to spend some time and money finding items that work.
  • You will need a computer with a reliable internet connection like DSL or broadband. You’re going to be spending a lot of time in front of the computer, so you want to be comfortable and have good equipment.
  • You have to get comfortable working on eBay. They have many different selling and buying options, so take the time to read through their how to area.
  • There are also a lot of books and online guides with tips for selling on eBay. These resources don’t guarantee that you’ll be successful, but they’re definitely worth taking a look at.

How Much Can I Make?
  • How much money you make, depends on how much time and effort you put into it.  It also depends on your ability to make good buying and selling decisions.
