CareerOneStop is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor. They offer in-person services and their website offers career resources and workforce information. They are the perfect place to go if you find yourself saying, “I need help deciding what career to choose.”

Explore Careers. This resource can be used to perform self assessments. They also have lists of careers where you can browse occupations and find out about different job options.

 

Education Training. This resource can be used to plan your education. This includes information on college and training certification courses, apprenticeships, community college, job corps centers and more. There is also information about paying for school including financial aid and scholarships.

 

Resume Advice. This section has tips that will help you create and improve your resume and cover letter. It also has advice for job interviews.

 

Salary and Benefits. This area has tools to help you compare information on wages and salaries. There is also information on relocating, how to pay for school and unemployment.

 

Job Search. Get advice on planning and networking, finding potential employers and how to apply for jobs. It also has tools to help you find a job.

 

People and Places to Help. Get information on how to locate resources and services near you. It also has tips on salary negotiation.

 

Military Transition This resource connects veterans and transitioning service members with high quality planning, training and job search resources.
