Free Tax Preparation
By
filing online through the Beehive or going to a free
tax preparation site in your community, you can file your taxes for free
and still get a quick refund. You may qualify for free tax preparation done by
volunteers in your area, depending on your age and financial situation.
Information on this kind of service is listed below. Free tax preparation may be
more widely available to almost everybody through the Beehive's free tax
preparation software, so we'll begin here.
Free Tax Preparation Using Software
The Beehive offers you the opportunity to use free tax software so
you can find out quickly whether you have money coming back to you. And the
sooner you file, the sooner you'll get your money back from the government. To begin filing you'll simply need a valid email address. (If you don’t already have one, sign up for a free email account with the Beehive! - just
Free Tax Filing
Once you have prepared your tax return with the Beehive's free tax
software, you will be able to file your taxes electronically if you want. This way you'll be able to get a refund or even free money back from the government sooner! To file your taxes electronically, you will need your adjusted gross income (AGI). You can find this number on last year’s tax return.
Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
As part of the Beehive's free tax preparation service, we can show you how you could get thousands of dollars in cash back from the government just for filing your taxes!
Find out if you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit
(EITC). The Earned Income Tax Credit, sometimes called Earned Income Credit, or
EIC, is extra money you can get if you are working and you file a federal income tax return.
Free tax preparation information over the phone
You can call the IRS at 1 (800) 829-1040 toll-free for free tax preparation
help. The phone line is open 24 hours a day, but the line is sometimes busy.
Remember: It pays to prepare your returns as soon as possible. As you approach
April 15 count on the lines being even busier! Keep trying and be patient.
Be Careful! Avoid Tax Scams
Instant cash back can sounds like a great idea, especially if you're trying
to make ends meet, but these are not refunds, they are loans. You can end up
paying more than half your cash, just to borrow your own refund money. Find out
how you can
avoid
tax scams.
