After working 14 years for a company in Michigan, I moved to south Florida. I moved to Florida because my wife accepted a great job position here and it seemed like an opportunity that we needed to pursue. It was my decision to leave the company I worked for, so it never really dawned on me that unemployment benefits might be an option. I've sinced discovered that relocation of a spouse is a valid reason to pursue unemployment benefits. Trouble is, I left my former job over 7 months ago. Am I still eligible for unemployment or is there a deadline for filing a claim?
